​​​​​​​​Future Skills WA is the way the State Government prioritises training.

As the WA economy grows and diversifies, the outlook for jobs is constantly changing.

The State Government has implemented Future Skills WA to ensure that people gain skills that lead to employment in areas required by industry.

To do this, Future Skills WA provides a guaranteed, subsidised training place for eligible students enrolled in courses that are deemed State priority qualifications, where a training place is available. Read more.

Students and parents

Future Skills WA aims to give students high quality training and skills for jobs that are, and will be, in high demand in Western Australia.​​​

Training courses

Future Skills WA provides students a choice of more than 600 State priority qualifications. These courses include all apprenticeships, eligible traineeships*, over 150 priority industry qualifications and two priority foundation courses.

*Excludes existing worker traineeships
